Never in the history of boat building has the average person been able to make their own boat, fast as a whip and dirt cheap, and then be able to put on a PFD and grab a paddle, and have a blast!  It’s the most fun you can have for peanuts.  You don’t need a lot of fancy tools, a big workshop, or much else for that matter.  You don’t need to be a guru of any sort, to have great fun making your own cardboard boat! ( really)

Now I know you’ve probably seen all the photos on the internet of boats that sunk, fell apart or flopped open as soon as they hit the water.  Yes, it does make for some good laughs.

But  I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a lot more fun, to get in a boat you made from cardboard yourself, and paddle off into the wild blue yonder, with a grin on your face that looks sorta like Garfield!  :)
